Sometimes everything just works. This was one of those photography jobs where that was definitely the case. The architecture and design of this Manhattan Beach home were gorgeous -the owner did the remodeling himself, believe it or not! To add to what was already a lovely looking space, the stylist's staging worked to create a palpably welcoming feel. Combine these elements with great ambient lighting and a whole weekend to myself to photograph it, and you just know things will turn out great!
I originally went to this shoot the same afternoon as another one I had scheduled in Long Beach that day. The Manhattan Beach condo was on my way home, and despite it being a bit later than I would have liked, I decided to head over there to photograph it. I did what I could before the sun went down, but I was unable to finish. Well, that's not entirely true - I could have kept shooting after the sun had set, but I chose not to. I loved the natural light in this place so I decided I would return the following day to capture that.
I don't regularly head all the way over to Manhattan Beach for photography work - especially two days in a row - but this was a treat for me to get to shoot. Thanks for reading!
